Until we meet again...

Thanks Oprah!

On September 8, 1986, the first national episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show was broadcast into homes across America. I remember that day. I was a Sophomore at Thomas More Prep-Marian High School. I came home and turned on the TV because I wanted to see this lady on TV they called Oprah. I remember my own mother saying that she was going to like watching her. As the years went on, I would continue to tune in when I could and catch episodes as I could, especially when she had someone on that I wanted to see or a topic I was interested. It was because of Oprah and a adaption reunion show that I decided to find my own biological mother.  Now, 25 years later, Oprah steps onto the stage for the last time to share her greatest lessons and hopes for her viewers and to say so long.

Thank you Oprah for 25 years and wish you many more now on your OWN network!

Happy Memorial Day!

Every day I get to thank a veteran for their service to their country. So, on this Memorial Day again I say Thanks for your service to this great country that we live in and remember them every day of the year!

I always thought that porn of any kind was a sin. Actually just thinking about sex is a sin. Then Father Shawn Ratigan was a huge sinner. Not only was he into porn, but child porn. Sick bastard! But what is worse is that the Bishop, a leader in the Catholic Church covered this up sense December and didn’t report it to the police. Have they not learned anything?

Recession hits Golden Ghetto familes hard!

People in Johnson County are painfully aware of the number of families in their neighborhoods who are struggling financially. With Sprint screwing over the City of Overland Park. The banks loaning money to Johnson Countians that can't afford the house they are living in now. Layoffs after layoffs. Those of us who know better know that the Golden Ghetto is not so Golden these days and more Ghetto! The not in our communities and not in our county mentality have come to and end! -The Kansas City Star Reports

The number of Johnson County children in poverty has doubled between 2008 and 2009 alone, bringing the total number to nearly 14,000, or one in 10. And those are just the children. The overall number of poverty-stricken residents is growing faster in Johnson than in any other Kansas City area county.
